A mum and her family have opened a shop from their garden where everything is free to help people during the cost of living crisis. Jennie Gough, 42, runs project Bag it for Free from her front lawn in Llanrumney, Cardiff, offering everything from clothes and shoes to toys with the help of her daughters Claudia, 18, and Naomi, 14.
Jennie said the idea came about after she saw a similar venture elsewhere and decided to give it a try to help her community, In Your Area reports. Everyone is welcome to pop along, take a look and help themselves to what they need free of charge.
Jennie, who suffers Chron's disease, endometriosis and fibromyalgia but runs the shop when she's able to, said: "I got speaking to the lady and thought I would love to do something similar in my area." Daughter Claudia, said: "We started it mainly because we wanted to help our community especially with the cost of living, We aim to open on a Friday, Saturday and a day during the week depending on weather and mum's health."

The family have received help from other selfless members of the community, who have donated outgrown or unwanted items which are then prepared for others to choose from, while friends and family members have offered to give a hand. Jennie, added: "Were here to help anyone struggling with the cost of living right now, please feel free to tell friends and family about us and bring along anyone we can help."
Claudia, added: "Donations are being accepted of clothing, shoes toys, bigger items are hard to store obviously so only can accept what we can manage to store in our house."
