It has now been 13 years since Selina McDonald went missing. Today (December 4) marks 13 years since the 35-year-old disappeared at Portishead in North Somerset.
Mum-of-one Selina McDonald vanished after last being seen walking towards a beach in Portishead on December 4 in 2009. After leaving her home in Phoenix Way, she was last seen on CCTV in the High Street.
Her mobile phone and purse were discovered at the beach near the Royal Hotel the following afternoon on December 5. Despite the coastguard being deployed and an extensive land and sea search, no other items or Selina were found.

Selina is 5ft 10ins tall and was described as being of slim build with dark brown, shoulder-length hair at the time of her disappearance. She was wearing a brown leather jacket, blue jeans, grey suede boots, carrying a brown handbag and scarf.
It is also believed she was wearing a gold wedding ring and four or five silver bracelets. Last year, her heartbroken family appealed for information about her whereabouts.
Selina’s family said they were desperate for answers and have urged anyone with information to come forward. Sister Becky Lewin, who was a community ambassador for the Missing People charity in Bristol, said: "Selina’s family are desperate for answers and would urge anyone with information to come forward.
"We miss her dreadfully and it's the not knowing which is so hard. We desperately want to know where she is.
"We are appealing for anyone who may have seen or spoken with Selina between Friday, December 4 and Saturday morning, December 5 in Portishead in 2009 to get in touch." If anyone has seen Selina, they should contact Missing People anonymously by calling 116 000 quoting reference 10-000128 or by emailing 116000@missingpeople.org.uk or call the police on 101.
