Scots teen who vanished overnight leaving family ‘worried sick’ found safe and well

The family of a young Scots teenager who failed to return home overnight are ‘worried sick’ for his safety. Oran O’Neill, from Hamilton, was last seen leaving his home address at around 1.30pm on Sunday, November 6, before being reported as missing to Police Scotland.

His frantic sister has shared a social media appeal for help to find her brother, writing: “This is totally out of character for Oran not to return home and we are scared that he is in harm.”

Oran, who is known to visit the Glasgow city centre area, is described as being around 5ft 9in tall, with a skinny build and has short, brown hair.

He was wearing a black Nike top, black jogging bottoms and black trainers when last seen.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “We are appealing for information to help trace 17-year-old Oran O’Neill from Hamilton.

“He was last seen around 1.130pm on Sunday, 6 November, 2022, and is known to sometimes travel to the Glasgow City Centre area.

“It is out of character for him not to keep in touch with his family, who are growing increasingly concerned for him.

“He is 5ft 9, with a skinny build and has short brown hair. He was wearing a black Nike top, black jogging bottoms and black trainers when last seen.

“We’re urging anyone with any information to please contact 101, quoting reference 3547 of 6 November.”
