The heartbroken family of a Scots OAP who vanished almost three months ago after getting off a bus have issued a fresh plea for help to find him.
William Hogg was last seen in Ancaster Square area of Callander, near Stirling, at around 12.46pm on Wednesday, October 5.
Police have carried out extensive searches in the area with mountain rescue teams drafted in to help find the missing 75-year-old, who is from Falkirk.
Despite combing CCTV footage, no trace of the pensioner has been found prompting a fresh plea from his granddaughter Amy Rooney.
She wrote: “Just doing a wee re-appeal to see if anyone has seen or heard from my Papa. He's been missing since Wednesday 5th October 2022 and was last seen in Callander on the day he went missing but is from Falkirk.
“So he could be anywhere by now. Can everyone please have a wee think to see if they have seen him and also look at dash cams on cars and vans etc. I just hope he's safe. He must be somewhere.”
William is described as being 5ft 6in tall, of a muscular build, with grey hair and a moustache. He has tattoos on each forearm and wears glasses.
When last seen, he was wearing a navy-coloured bomber jacket and jeans with black and white trainers.
Speaking at the time of the OAP’s disappearance, Inspector Alasdair Moreland, of Stirling Police Station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for William’s welfare, and I know his family and friends are extremely worried.
“We would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to please contact us or ask anyone with dash-cam footage, who has been driving in the Callander area please review it and get in touch with us if you think you’ve captured anything relevant.
“If you have seen William, or have any information which could assist, please call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3507 of 5 October, 2022.”
