The family of a missing Scots schoolgirl are 'very concerned' as police issued an appeal for information on her whereabouts.
Brogan Mair was last seen at around 1pm on Tuesday in the Leslie area of Glenrothes, Fife.
The 12-year-old has 'not been missing before' according to cops and nobody has been able to contact her through her mobile phone or friends.
Brogan is 5ft 2in tall and of a slim build with brown eyes, long fair to blonde hair and has a hoop nose piercing.
She's believed to be wearing black leggings, a black McKenzie jacket and black Puma trainers.
Officers leading the search said one line of enquiry is that she might have travelled to Dundee but that is yet to be confirmed.
Anyone who has seen Brogan or has information regarding her whereabouts is urged to come forward.
Sergeant Nicola Crookston said: "One line of enquiry is that Brogan may have travelled to Dundee, however, that has still to be confirmed.
"She has not been missing before and so far no one has been able to get a hold of her either on her mobile or through friends.
"She is only 12 years old and the fact that she has been out without contact overnight is very concerning for her family, friends and police.
"We, like her family, just want her back safe and well.
"If you have seen Brogan, or have any information as to where she is, then please contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 3362 of Tuesday, April 5."
