Family of missing Scots dad Shaun Banner 'feel completely lost' amid seven week search

The family of missing Scots dad Shaun Banner have said they feel "completely lost" in a heartbreaking message as the search enters its seventh week.

The 34-year-old was reported missing from Invergordon and was last seen on CCTV around midnight near the town's railway station, on Saturday April 23.

His heartbroken family are desperate to bring him home and have urged people to continue to walk near beaches and shores in the hope someone will spot him.

Police believe Shaun may have entered the water following his disappearance after one of his shoes washed up at Nigg Beach in the Highlands two weeks ago.

Distraught brother Alan posted a heartbreaking plea in a Facebook page set up to find Shaun.

He said: "7 weeks without Shaun, 7 weeks we have been conducting our searches now and currently we are feeling very static in our search for Shaun.

"We are completely lost.

"Please continue to go on walks when you can, makes the beaches and shores your walk of choice.

"If Shaun is in the water the possibilities of where he could be are endless so if you know people who live near the water please be asking them to check the shorelines and beaches near them.

"This feels like our best chance of getting him just now and we have to stay vigilant. We just need to get him home."

Shaun, who is dad to daughter Tia, is described as being 5ft7, with short brown hair, blue eyes and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing green and brown Crofter work trousers, a grey Rogue Attitude puffer-style jacket, a blue RSE work top and grey, purple and blue Nike Air Max trainers.
