Moment couple’s missing dog finally rescued from remote island cut off by tide

This is the moment a cockerpoo missing for over 30 hours was rescued from a remote island after it was heard barking from the mainland.

Six-year-old Lola was spooked by another dog while on a walk in Swansea on 7 January.

Owners Laura and Eamonn Kinally searched for 31 hours before hearing barks from Middle Island, three miles from where she vanished.

With the tide rising, they had to leave before being stranded, contacting the Coastguard who dispatched the Mumbles inshore lifeboat.

The crew located a cold but unharmed Lola, wrapped her in blankets, and reunited her with her relieved family.
