The brother of Edinburgh Crime Queen Caroline Igoe, who was jailed for hiding her murder weapon, has died in hospital.
Paul Igoe was jailed alongside his sister Caroline for his part in covering up the murder of her gangster boyfriend Martyn Barclay. In 2009, Paul was jailed for six years after concealing the gun used by Caroline to kill Barclay.
After using his own gun against Barclay, Caroline phoned her brother who arrived and took the weapon to dispose of at Craigmillar Castle. Paul's brother, Joesph Igoe jnr, announced the death of the 50-year-old on Facebook after his passing on February 10, reports the Record.

He wrote: "I am writing this with a heavy heart on behalf of my whole family. My brother Paul passed away on Friday 10th February at 11.40.
"We would like to thank everyone who has reached out already for the love and support." Niece Farrell Mcfadden also paid a tribute. She posted: "I miss and love you so much, Uncle Paul. Never felt pain like this. You're the best guy ever."
And Paul Hunter wrote: "Had no words for days. Thought about you a lot, nothing will ever bring you back.
"I really do hope you're at peace, you might be gone but you'll always live inside me. Until we meet again. Celtic for life."
Following the death of Barclay, it was suspected that he may have been murdered in a gangland hit as part of a turf war for control of Edinburgh's drug trade. But officers found the weapon and unravelled the mystery behind his death.
The investigation revealed that the mum-of-four Igoe was responsible for the cold-blooded killing. The was caged for life in January 2009 and while being escorted down to the court cells in cuffs, she screamed at her brother Paul to take the rap.
Barclay kept a handgun by his pillow for protection and Igoe used the weapon to shoot him in the head, before claiming to the Daily Record that she had been left "devastated" by his death and had "been through hell."
