Family of Evan Reid raise funds in memory of 'loving dad' found dead in Paisley

Devastated loved ones of a dad who was tragically found dead after going missing following a night out in Glasgow have paid tribute to the people that helped search for him.

Evan Reid vanished after getting off a train in Paisley after a night out with friends in the city, and was reported missing on March 25. Following weeks of searching, his body was discovered in White Cart Water.

Friends and family are now fundraising to give back to the charities and community centre which helped in the search for the missing 31-year-old, who was found dead on April 10.

His partner Nicole Murray previously spoke with Glasgow Live and shared a touching tribute to her 'everything'.

Now, the family are fundraising to give back to the organisations who helped them search for Evan when he was missing - Glasgow Humane Society, Beechwood Community Centre and Specialist Search Dogs.

They have surpassed their target and raised over £1,000 in memory of the 'loving partner, dad, brother, son and friend'.

The JustGiving page reads: "We are raising money in memory of Evan Reid.

"We would like to raise funds for the following charity's and community centre who were a huge part of our search for Evan.

"Glasgow Humane Society is a charity of volunteers who everyday searched the river on boats to help find Evan.

"Beechwood Community Centre is a community centre who opened its doors to our search and let us use their facility's even on days where the centre was not open. They provided us with food, tea, coffee and a place to meet and coordinate our search.

"Specialist Search Dogs is a charity who train specialist dogs to help in missing person scenarios. They can search land and water and sent a dog all the way from Wales to help with our search for Evan.

"We would like to thank everyone involved for the help and support given in this time. We will be forever grateful to the charities and community for their kindness and generosity in what was the most difficult time in our lives. Thank you."
