Family house hits the market at just £30,000 - but it needs PLENTY of work

A two-bedroom house has gone on the market for just £30,000 - but it's not for the faint hearted.

The property in Farnworth, near Bolton in Greater Manchester - where the average price is £158,957 - seems an absolute steal.

However, photos on the Zoopla advert show it needs plenty of work.

The terraced house is derelict and far currently liveable.

It first appeared on the property site on Friday (April 21).

Any house hunters who can look past the clutter and crumbling ceilings, will see a doer-upper perfect for anyone wanting to take on a big renovation project to live in, or as an investment opportunity.

The house itself is a fairly good size with three reception rooms and a kitchen on the ground floor, and two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs.

The property needs a lot work with plenty of issues to fix (Zoopla / Allsop LLP)

The location is also ideal with Farnworth town centre and the open spaces of Farnworth Central Park just a short walk away.

Moses Gate station and Farnworth station, where Northern Rail services run, are just over half a mile away and the M60 and M61 motorways are within easy reach.

For those with children, Queensbridge Primary School, which is Ofsted-rated 'Good', is also within walking distance.

It could be a worthy investment for anyone who wants to do it up (Zoopla / Allsop LLP)

Due to its current state, it is recommended that any interested buyers should go and view the house before it goes up for auction.

There will be an open house viewing every Thursday and Saturday between 11.45am and 12.15pm, ahead of the auction on May 11.

There is no need to register for the open viewing.

Auctioneer Allsop says: "If you cannot attend the viewing you are advised to view the images and any available virtual tour on our website before bidding."
