Family members of one of the workers missing since the collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge are holding on to hope that their loved one will be found alive. Maynor Suazo Sandoval, a 38-year-old Honduran national, was working on asphalt on the bridge when it collapsed, according to his brother Carlos Suazo Sandoval.
Carlos expressed the family's unwavering faith, stating, 'We still have hope, I know that time is our worst enemy.' He described Maynor as a kind and joyful person with a vision for his future, aspiring to own his own businesses and eventually retire in Honduras.
Maynor, who has lived in the United States for 18 years, is a married father of an 18-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter. The family is still processing the incident and has not yet informed Maynor's 72-year-old mother, who resides in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
Despite the challenges and uncertainties, the Suazo Sandoval family remains hopeful for a miracle and continues to await news of Maynor's fate. The community and authorities have come together to support the families of the missing workers during this difficult time.
