Family 'heartbroken' as teenager dies following Shirenewton crash

A fundraising page has been set up in memory of an 18-year-old man who died after a crash in Shirenewton, Monmouthshire. Dafydd Hughes, from Caerphilly borough, died at the scene of the incident involving a Peugeot 5008 and a Ford Focus.

A 30-year-old man, 54-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were also taken to hospital for treatment after the crash on Usk Road, which took place at around 1.30pm on Sunday.

The GoFundMe page was set up on Monday on behalf of Dafydd's family to help them raise funds for his funeral. His family have given WalesOnline permission for this to be shared.
