'JOY RIDE'
Rated R for strong and crude sexual content, language throughout, drug content and brief graphic nudity.
What it’s about: A group of four friends take a trip to China and unexpectedly find themselves along the way in this raucous, raunchy comedy.
The kid attractor factor: Teens might be drawn to the cast, humor, and subject matter, but not much appeal for kids.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Your friends might know you better than yourself. It takes time to figure out the complicated twists and turns of place, family and identity.
Violence: A romp with a basketball team results in injury.
Language: Swearing and strong language throughout, as well as frank discussions of sex.
Sex: Graphic full frontal nudity, crude sexual discussions and energetic, humorous sex scenes. This film is extremely sexually frank, and free.
Drugs: The girls encounter a drug mule and do all her drugs to hide the stash. Extended discussions of cocaine use and on screen usage.
Parents’ advisory: This comedy is pretty wild when it comes to sex and drugs -- not appropriate for kids at all, and only for older teens.
