A series of family-friendly Christmas events will be coming to St Helens including a giant advent calendar and the chance to meet Santa.
The events will be taking place at Church Square Shopping Centre on weekends throughout November and December. Father Christmas and his head elf will be at the centre on November 26 and 27, and each weekend across December until the weekend of December 17 and 18.
Children will be invited to meet Santa, where they can tell him what they want for Christmas as well as receiving a free chocolate treat. Santa's sleigh will be located opposite Ways2Work, which is in Lagrange Arcade the shopping centre.

The event is free to attend. Shoppers can book a ticket via the Church Square Shopping Centre Facebook page or website.
A life-sized advent calendar will also be installed in the centre, offering shoppers the chance to win a prize every day between December 1 and December 12. Shoppers can fill out an entry form to take part in the prize draw, with a winner to be selected at random. The advent calendar will be located opposite Pandora.
Steve Brogan, centre manager of Church Square Shopping Centre, said: "I am really excited to have Father Christmas return to the centre this year, helping the centre get in the Christmas spirit."
