People are encouraged to travel to the beach using public transport, with thousands flocking to the coast earlier this month when a heatwave hit the country. Earlier this week the Sefton coastline also saw the unexpected sight of bottle-nosed dolphins swimming in the area.

Photos were snapped of the mammals, with two adults and a calf being seen from Ainsdale beach. The animals were seen just 100m away from the coast, with people undoubtedly going to be on the lookout for the spectacular sight this weekend.
