Families of the four female soldiers expected to be released by Hamas on Saturday are heading toward Reim in southern Israel, a spokesperson for the families confirmed.
The families have received indications that they can start moving in the direction of the south in preparation for the meeting with the hostages. The soldiers, Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Naama Levy, all 20 years old, and Liri Albag, 19, have been held in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
The four young women were among seven female soldiers who were kidnapped from the Nahal Oz military base. They were serving as Israel Defense Forces (IDF) lookouts, responsible for observing activity inside Gaza.
