Former Crystal Palace owner and talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has let loose on the current state of Leeds United and believes that Sam Allardyce's appointment won't save them from relegation.
The Whites are currently sat in 17th, only above the relegation zone on goal difference having won just one of their last seven matches in the Premier League under Javi Gracia.
But Jordan believes that while the side's form under Gracia in recent weeks has been poor, it all stemmed from their decision-making in the summer last year.
"You got away with it on the last game of the season last year and you needed to have done better," Jordan claimed on talkSPORT earlier this afternoon.
"A lot of the credit was given to Jesse Marsch. They stumbled across the line, only because other sides were slightly worse in the run-in and Brentford were on the beach for the last game of the season otherwise they get relegated last year.
"So this attribution of success which followed Jesse Marsch into the next season I think was a fool's errand. I think they should've changed their manager in the summer last year and gone with someone capable of taking Leeds to better heights than operating in the same position as they had done in the previous year.
"All roads lead to the position they're in now."
Leeds' next match - and likely Allardyce's first in charge - is set to be against reigning champions and league leaders Manchester City while their other three clashes come against Newcastle United, West Ham and Tottenham.
Jordan believes that even with Allardyce at the helm, the Whites get three points out of those teams at most and must rely on other teams below them to drop points.
"You want my gut feeling on it [Leeds staying up]? No. Unless 33 points can keep you in the league. If 33 points keeps you in the league, then there's a possibility.
"If it's anything more than that, then I'm struggling because I can't make a case- I don't care in which parallel universe you live in where they get anything out of Newcastle or Manchester City.
"Then you've got West Ham and Tottenham. Now, West Ham might be in a European final, they might not be as motivated for this game. Tottenham, who knows?
"I just think Leeds are falling like a stone and this is the conundrum that they have."
With the club's announcement that director of football Victor Orta has left Elland Road after six years, many have wondered whether it was strange to see him leave before Javi Gracia - something Jordan rubbished.
"I don't think that matters too much, they're both going! I can't see any reason why the chronological order of events of when they've been removed would make any difference," Jordan continued.
"Maybe they're just spending a little more time tying up the severance pay that Javi Gracia gets!"
