Fall Out Boy announce intimate show at iconic Manchester venue

American rock band Fall Out Boy have announced a small, intimate show will take place in Manchester in less than two weeks time.

Following the launch of their UK arena tour, two additional dates have been added by the Grammy award-winning group including one in Manchester and one in London. The band have also revealed the track listing for their soon-to-launch album, So Much (For) Stardust, which will be released on March 24.

The Manchester gig will take place at the legendary Band on The Wall on Wednesday, 15 March, while the London gig will take place the day after. Fans who pre-order the new album from the Fall Out Boy UK website before 2pm on Tuesday, March 7 will get exclusive ticket access to these dates, while general sale begins at 10am on Wednesday, March 8.

Fall Out Boy’s new record will be their eighth studio album and first since 2018’s Mania, which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall 1 album. The band have so far only revealed two tracks from 'the album - 'Love From The Other Side' and 'Heartbreak Feels So Good' - but fans today were also treated to the album's full track listing as part of the anncounment.

Fall Out Boy broke the news of Twitter and said: "We’re gonna sweat it out at the altars of the alternative and punk rock scenes that were born in small clubs in Manchester and London." Band on The Wall retweeted the news, and fans in the comments couldn't believe the news.

One wrote: "This is phenomenal. So sad I can’t make the 15t but BOTW is a beautiful venue. Damn what a gig it’ll be."

Another added: "If you get tickets for Band on the Wall you’ll have the BEST time its such an incredible intimate venue," while a third exclaimed: "whaaaat?! Band on the Wall is TINY!!!"

Last month, the band returned to their roots for a surprise homecoming show at Chicago’s 1,000-capacity Metro – announced only two days beforehand. Meanwhile, they're So Much For (Tour) Dust European Tour kicks off in Warsaw, stops off at Manchester's AO Arena On October 29, and wraps in Berlin on November 8.

For the two intimate shows, the band have said the only way to get access to tickets is by pre-ordering the album in the UK webstore by 2pm Tuesday, March 7 on their website. Codes will be sent at 5pm on March 7, and if you already pre-ordered, you’ll receive a code. Tickets go on sale on March 8.
