The Atlanta Falcons have a new No. 1 on the roster. Free-agent wide receiver Darnell Mooney, who signed a three-year deal with the team at the start of the new league year, will wear the number this season in Atlanta.
Former Falcons cornerback Jeff Okudah wore No. 1 last year, but after signing a one-year deal with the Houston Texans, the number became available again.
Mooney, 26, will step in as the team’s No. 2 receiver in 2024, bringing some much-needed speed to the position. The former Bears wideout has 213 career catches for 2,593 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
