Falcons vs Broncos: Staff picks and predictions for Week 11

The Atlanta Falcons will take the field for a rare late-afternoon game against the Denver Broncos in Week 11. Sunday’s matchup starts at 4:05 p.m. ET inside Empower Field At Mile High.

The Falcons are 6-4 following last week’s three-point loss to the New Orleans Saints. It was the team’s first road loss of the season. Atlanta will look to bounce back against a young Broncos team led by former Saints head coach Sean Payton and rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

Which team will win Sunday’s showdown in Denver? Check out our Falcons Wire staff picks and predictions for Week 11 below:

Crissy Froyd (5-4):

The Falcons suffered a tough (and highly unexpected) loss when they fell 20-17 to the Saints, who were in a complete state of transition. The issues for Atlanta came from, more than anything else, missed opportunities, missed field goals and self-inflicted wounds. A slow start was also yet again a problem, and this time, the “Cardiac Falcons” were not able to move past that. They can fix these things this week against the Broncos. Falcons 27, Broncos 21

Deen Worley (6-3)

The Falcons faltered last week in New Orleans by way of three missed field goal attempts by Younghoe Koo. This go around, playing in the Mile High city, Koo has a chance to redeem himself. Even though it’s outdoors, field goal attempts in Denver are akin to that of a dome given the thinner atmosphere. This time around, Koo nets a game-winning kick to give the Falcons the win. Falcons 21, Broncos 20

Matt Urben (5-4):

The Denver Broncos are on a two-game losing streak, but they’re still a tough team in a good division. While the Falcons blew a game they should’ve won in Week 10, we’ve seen this team respond well after their other losses this season. Atlanta’s ability to run the football will be the difference in Sunday’s game. I like the Falcons to win by eight on the road in Week 11. Falcons 24, Broncos 16
