The Atlanta Falcons came away with their second straight win on Sunday, a 13-8 road victory over the New York Jets. While it was far from the most exciting game we’ve seen in the NFL this year, the team was just happy to escape with a win.
Here’s how Falcons fans on Twitter reacted to Sunday’s low-scoring matchup against the Jets.
There's no chance you can't convince me Ryan Nielsen isn't by far the most valuable coach on this team

That’s the epitome of “a win’s a win”. Back up to .500 which is less embarrassing and a clear lead at the top of the division. It’s happening and you should be both excited and terrified

The Falcons have won 2 in a row while the rest of the division has lost 9 straight games

Arthur Smith: Arnold Ebiketie has shown major progress. He’s rushing with more confidence. You see he is more efficient with his movement. We’ve been encouraged by his Year Two. He’s another guy we expect big things from.

it was nasty but the Falcons did something rare today and that was take care of the football. Ridder made the throws he needed to and the defense wins the team another game with a 3 turnover performance. Falcons are .500 again and have a clear path to the playoffs

Looking back at Jessie Bates III contract, I think Terry underpaid him. 😂😂

Jessie Bates the last 2 weeks:
•2 interceptions

Thanks for watching with us. The Falcons are facing nothing but flawed offenses the rest of the way, so the defense performing the way it has against inferior opponents is a good sign.
Get the offense at least microwaving and we have something here

Watching Kyle Pitts it's easy to see he's frustrated — not by Falcons' offense (as some fans want to believe) but by fact he hasn't come all the way back from injury. Missing explosiveness of rookie year. Also some mucky conditions today in NY.

told y’all about Clark from day 1 but nah Mike Hughes needed to play for 12 weeks

Extremely ugly, but the #Falcons come away with a win to move back to .500 and now firmly in 1st place in the NFC South with the Saints loss.
Offense needs to score more points but this was a good game from Desmond Ridder in my opinion.
Love seeing Kyle Pitts getting involved…

Y’all weren’t listening to me when I was talking about Ebiketie a few weeks back. Give this man more snaps, and he WILL produce. 🔥🔥 https://t.co/62SBpMpXra

You need your head coach to be elite in an area and maybe for Arthur Smith it’s throwing the challenge flag
