Falcons trade WR Calvin Ridley to Jaguars

The Atlanta Falcons have traded suspended wide receiver Calvin Ridley to the Jacksonville Jaguars, multiple sources are reporting just an hour ahead of the NFL’s 2022 trade deadline.

In return for Ridley, the Falcons get a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 fourth-rounder that could turn into a higher pick based on the terms of the deal.

Ridley isn’t eligible to return until 2023 after violating the NFL’s gambling policy in 2021 by betting on Falcons games.

Since being selected by Atlanta in the first round of the 2018 draft, Ridley has accumulated 248 catches for 3,342 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns over four NFL seasons.
