The Atlanta Falcons made two additions to their 90-man training camp roster on Thursday, signing quarterback Nathan Rourke and tight end Jordan Thomas. The team released quarterback John Paddock and wide receiver Daylen Baldwin in corresponding transactions.
Rourke signed with the New England Patriots in March but was waived and then claimed by the New York Giants. The Giants cut Rourke last week and now the Falcons have a new fourth quarterback. The 26-year-old went undrafted out of Ohio before making his mark in the CFL.
Thomas, another CFL standout, will add some depth at the tight end position. Atlanta has three roster locks in Kyle Pitts, Charlie Woerner and Ross Dwelley, but there’s probably another spot up for grabs on the 53-man roster.
Thomas is the sixth member of the Birmingham Stallions to get a chance in the NFL this offseason. Check out our fully updated 90-man roster arranged by position group HERE!
