The Atlanta Falcons signed defensive lineman Eli Ankou off of the Buffalo Bills practice squad on Wednesday. Ankou replaces Falcons wide receiver Josh Ali, who was placed on the injured reserve list.
Ankou, 29, has appeared in 33 games since entering the league in 2017. The veteran defensive lineman has recorded 43 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks over his six-year NFL career.

Ankou should give the team a little more depth on the interior of the defensive line. With Ali going on the injured reserve list, the Falcons added wide receiver Frank Darby to the practice squad on Tuesday.
Head coach Arthur Smith said it was nice to have the energetic Darby back at practice Wednesday.
