Falcons rookie DL ruled out vs. Buccaneers with ankle injury

The Atlanta Falcons defensive line suffered a big hit when defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro went down with an ankle injury in the third quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the team had gone completely unhindered by the injury bug for the first half.

He was carted to the locker room after suffering the injury and his status was officially downgraded to out. Orhorhoro has shown some flashes as a rookie, originally selected by the Falcons at No. 35 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Orhorhoro headed into the contest totaling four tackles (one solo) over three games appeared in. The rookie had one tackle in this game before he was sidelined.

The Falcons currently lead the Buccaneers, 31-17 at the bottom of the third quarter. If Atlanta can get the victory in this one, they will sweep Tampa Bay for the season.

The Falcons won the first meeting between the two of 2024 in thrilling overtime action, 36-30.
