Falcons request second interview with Panthers DC Ejiro Evero

The Atlanta Falcons have requested a second interview with Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero for their head coach opening, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Sunday evening.

Evero, 43, served as the safeties coach for the Los Angeles Rams from 2017 to 2020 before being promoted to passing game coordinator in 2021. In 2022, Evero was hired as the Broncos defensive coordinator and took the same job with the Panthers in 2023.

Evero is also being looked at by the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks for their head coach vacancies. The Falcons have conducted a thorough search thus far.

On Sunday, the team interviewed Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik. Atlanta also has requested second interviews with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.
