Last week, the Atlanta Falcons made a major change to their depth chart, benching quarterback Kirk Cousins for Michael Penix Jr. The rookie led the team to a win in his first NFL start and will look to make it two in a row this weekend against the Washington Commanders.
As for other changes, the Falcons placed kicker Younghoe Koo on the injured reserve list and signed Riley Patterson to the 53-man roster. The team also released linebacker Rashaan Evans, placed rookie Jase McClellan on the injured reserve list and signed wide receiver Chris Blair.
