Pro Football Focus is good for evaluating things that fans might not see, but it didn’t take an expert to see that Falcons safety Jessie Bates III played extremely well in Sunday’s 24-15 win over the Saints.
Bates recorded his fourth interception of the season and returned it for a touchdown, then forced a fumble later in the game. Bates was the team’s highest-graded defensive player in Week 12, while rookie Matthew Bergeron led the offense.
