The Georgia Bulldogs were so good in 2021 that even the Atlanta Falcons couldn’t resist drafting multiple players from last year’s National Championship team.
In total, 15 Georgia players were drafted back in April, including a record five defensive players in the first round alone. The Bulldogs defense looks to be loaded yet again after destroying Oregon, 49-3, over the weekend.
Georgia’s star defensive lineman Jalen Carter could be an option for the Falcons in the 2023 draft. That’s what Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling is projecting in his latest mock draft.
With the No. 2 overall pick, Easterling has Atlanta passing on a new signal-caller in favor of Carter since the team “stole” Desmond Ridder in the third round of this past draft.
The first QB is taken third overall in Draft Wire’s mock, with the Seattle Seahawks drafting Florida’s Anthony Richardson. Check out the full mock draft here!
Speaking of draft picks, Falcons rookie WR Drake London was listed as limited on the team’s first official injury report Wednesday. Atlanta hosts New Orleans during Week 1 in a rematch of the 2021 season finale.
