No matter what the Atlanta Falcons do, they can’t seem to stop drafting in the top 10. In 2021, the team added tight end Kyle Pitts with the No. 4 overall pick. The Falcons drafted WR Drake London with the eighth overall pick in 2022 before taking RB Bijan Robinson with the No. 8 pick in 2023.
Entering Week 12, Atlanta is currently on track to land the No. 8 pick yet again. Since the team has been playing musical chairs at the quarterback position, it’s hard to imagine the Falcons passing on a QB in the top 10 for a fourth consecutive year.
In our new six-round mock projection, we have the team landing a franchise quarterback in Round 1. Check out all seven picks in our latest mock draft below.
Round 1, Pick 8: QB Michael Penix Jr. - Washington

Penix Jr. opted to return to school for another year and is currently leading the No. 4 team in the country with an undefeated record. The Washington QB has passed for 3,699 yards, 30 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season, with a PFF grade of 91.3. Penix Jr. could end up as a top-five pick if he keeps playing this well.
Round 2, Pick 40: WR Johnny Wilson - Florida State

Round 3, Pick 72: DL Mekhi Wingo - LSU

Round 4, Pick 108: OL Zach Zinter - Michigan

Round 5, Pick 145: DB Malik Mustapha - Wake Forest

Round 6, Pick 186: EDGE Steve Linton - Texas Tech

Round 6, Pick 202: CB Chau Smith-Wade - Washington State
