Falcons extend lead over NFC South after Buccaneers lose

The Atlanta Falcons (4-3) picked a good year to revamp their roster as the NFC South appears to be wide open in 2023. Without someone like Tom Brady around to ruin the fun, the Falcons have a chance to take control of the division over the second half of the season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave the team a boost on Thursday night, losing to the Buffalo Bills to fall to 3-4. That loss by the Bucs put a full game between the Falcons and the rest of the division going into Week 8.

Saints 3 4 .429 133 127 1-2 2-2

The Falcons released their final injury report on Friday, listing outside linebacker Bud Dupree as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Inside linebacker Tae Davis has been ruled out due to a concussion.
