The Atlanta Falcons defense got struck a blow this week when it came out that defensive end Bralen Trice has been placed on IR, ending his rookie season before it even began.
The Falcons got a steal with Trice in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft, Trice played his college ball at the University of Washington where he established himself as one of the top strong-side edge defenders in the draft.
Trice was well on his way to being a starter for the Falcons at outside linebacker prior to his injury. Despite weighing in at 274 pounds, Trice showed solid speed and athleticism to work standing up and in space.
The Falcons placed rookie edge Bralen Trice on IR, ending his season. A huge bummer for their third-round pick.

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris spoke to the media about the loss of Trice.
“It’s always tough when you lose a rook,” Falcons coach Raheem Morris said on Monday. “You lose a guy that you were about to count on on the edge, to be able to have a role and to be able to define his role and all those type of things.”
