A man and woman suspected of a number of offences including carrying a fake firearm and assaulting an emergency service worker have been named by police.
Merseyside Police were called to a home in St Helens on Monday, December 19, following a concern for safety at 8am. Following the incident Nathan Halliwell, 23, of Brookway Lane, St Helens, and Dawn Halliwell, 49, also of Brookway Lane, were arrested by police on suspicion of a number of offences.
The 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of ammunition for a firearm, using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour and criminal damage and the 49-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of ammunition for a firearm and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

Both people have been charged by police and were remanded into custody. They appeared in court on Wednesday, December 21.
