Fake Down Syndrome Influencers Created With AI Are Being Used to Promote OnlyFans Content

A disturbing trend has emerged where AI is being used to create Instagram influencers with Down syndrome to promote adult content on platforms like OnlyFans and Fanvue.

This practice, which involves stealing content from real creators and replacing their faces with AI-generated ones, has grown into a concerning industry, 404 Media reported. The resulting fake personas are then used to sell nudes on monetized platforms, with a focus on exploiting the fetishization of disabilities.

One of the most notable AI-generated influencers is @mariadopari, who has over 148,000 Instagram followers.

Overall, these accounts recycle content, reusing videos and bios, and often link to the same adult content pages. Although many of the deepfaked faces appear convincing, subtle errors expose their artificial nature.

These influencers frequently promote their AI-modified appearances with explicit references to adult content, with some even using terms like "Onlydown" to push their message.

As more platforms allow AI-generated content to be monetized, this troubling trend may grow, sparking calls for stricter regulations on social media and adult content sites.
