Facundo Pellistri has challenged his Manchester United teammates to keep working hard in pre-season following their galvanising victory over Liverpool.
It may have only been a friendly but Erik ten Hag's reign in charge couldn't have gotten off to a better start as United trounced their rivals 4-0 in Thailand. The result is mitigated by the fact the Dutchman named a full-strength XI while Liverpool named a more experimental side but it remains a big confidence boost.
Jadon Sancho opened the scoring before Fred scored a brilliant dink and Anthony Martial's composed finish past Alisson made it 3-0 at the break. Ten Hag made 10 changes at half-time, one of which was Pellistri who added the fourth as he finished off a blistering counter-attack which was launched by Ivorian duo Eric Bailly and Amad.

The young winger certainly hasn't done his chances of earning a spot in the new manager's plans any harm and now he wants the team to get even more wins.
"It was a very good start, amazing, and against a really hard team," he told United's in-house media. "I think we did good and I'm really happy to score a goal for the team and that we win, [it] makes such a difference.
"It is good to start like this [with a win]. We have a long and hard pre-season coming and we have to keep working. Obviously it is always good to win and we are working on that. In every match we have to try to win."
Pellistri, who is back at United after an underwhelming loan spell at Alaves last season, loved the game. He moved to thank his teammates and the supporters in Bangkok for the game as he looked forward to the next leg of the tour in Australia.
"It was amazing," he added. "We have very good players, so it is easy to play with them. I am really happy to share the locker room [with them] because they have lots of experience and they help me a lot.
"Again it was amazing. All the fans were here so it was unbelievable. I am really happy for that. I am excited to go [to Australia] and be there and see all the fans, all of the United fans that are everywhere."
