The public sector Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) has marked a record turnover of ₹4,100 crore during the financial year 2021-22. The turnover shows a 27% rise when compared to the previous financial year, said a communication from the company here on Saturday
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and a steep rise in the cost of raw materials, the company was able to put up such a good performance, the communication said. FACT produced 9.63 lakh tonnes of fertilizers and its sales stood at a million tonnes.
The just-concluded financial year also saw FACT restarting caprolactam production after a gap of nine years. The company was able produce 20,835 tonnes of caprolactam during the year.
