This is the police mugshot of dangerous driver Alan Jackson - who carried on his journey with two kids in the back of his car and police on his tail. The terrifying journey involved Alan Jackson puncturing a few of his Fiesta's tyres when police planted a stinger device to stop him in his tracks.
Officers suspected his car had cloned number plates when they tried to stop Jackson, a banned and uninsured driver in Nottingham. But he drove off on October 2, 2020, with his partner and two children in the car.
He went on the wrong side of the road, overtook vehicles and travelled through a red light, an escapade which was captured on dash cam and played at Nottingham Crown Court before Jackson was sentenced.
Judge Gregory Dickinson QC, the Recorder of Nottingham, said Jackson had put at risk strangers who might have been using the road at the same time and added: "You were prepared to risk the safety of your partner and the young children who were in your car."

The judge said: "Even the deployment of a stinger, which tore some off your tyres on the car, was not enough to deter you. You overtook on a bend, went through a red light and travelled at speed. When the police car got in front of you, you tried to squeeze between the police vehicle and a van, and you were trapped in that way".
Jackson, who has 22 convictions for 90 offences, then falsely claimed it was his partner who was the driver but went on to plead guilty to dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, and two Derby assaults. The court heard those offences happened in Bonnie Close, Derby, on November 30, 2020, when he punched one resident with a blow so powerful it sent her to the floor.
This attack was accompanied by some "foolish and offensive remarks", added the judge. The victim's partner came to help and 44-year-old Jackson, of Broxtowe Lane, Aspley, punched her in the face. He then punched the first victim twice more, again sending her to the ground.
Jackson was on bail from Derby Crown Court when he committed the driving offences in Nottingham. Richard Gibbs, mitigating, said his client "behaved in a way that was clearly appalling". Mr Gibbs added: "He is very sorry for what has happened across the board. His remorse is clear."
Jackson received four months in prison for the assaults concurrently, but also received a consecutive sentence of 12 months for the dangerous driving. A concurrent sentence of two months was given out for the disqualified driving and his licence will be endorsed for the no insurance offence. A driving ban of 18 months was imposed, as well as a four-year restraining order to stay away from the women he attacked.
PC Leanne George, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “In a forlorn bid to escape from officers, Jackson drove in a reckless and dangerous way – placing himself, his passenger and other members of the public at significant risk of harm. He had absolutely no right to be on the road in the first place and was fortunate not to have caused further harm.
“This incident is yet another reminder of the power of modem technology and its ability to alert officers instantly to people who are committing offences on our roads. By using this technology to target people like Jackson we’re helping to keep the wider public safe. I am pleased he has now been punished and hope he uses his time in prison to reassess the direction of his life.”
