Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano admits Celtic have an ideal project brewing under Ange Postecoglou - but with that comes interest.
The Australian has lifted the third of four trophies available to him domestically as Parkhead manager by guiding his Hoops team to a second Viaplay Cup triumph with victory over Rangers. Kyogo's double sealed the deal on Sunday despite an Alfredo Morelos reply and attentions now turn to the Premiership title, a race which they currently lead by nine points.
Postecoglou will also want to lift the Scottish Cup and make it a treble with his high-octane attacking football. Plenty of players have picked up plaudits during the former Socceroos boss' tenure in Glasgow and it's Cameron Carter-Vickers who Premier League clubs are looking at, according to Romano. But he admits the current Celtic framework is an ideal blend, telling House of Champions: "It is very difficult as they are always attracting big interest. They are doing very well, the project is perfect, the manager is fantastic.
"He was one of the names mentioned for Leeds but he was not going to leave the Celtic job during the season. We will see in the future.
"He's always been on the list of important clubs in the Premier League because he is doing very well. The atmosphere he has created within the dressing room and with the fans is really special.
"That is crucial in Scottish football to have this kind of energy. For Carter-Vickers, I think it’s going to be an important summer because I’m told some Premier League clubs are already exploring this possibility. Of course, he knows Premier League football so it could be a possibility in the summer but Celtic will try their best to keep their players.
"Then at some point they will need to sell and they have to find a replacement before they sell, this happened with Juranovic in January. This is part of their process and structure."
