Nottingham Forest played host to Leicester City in a local rivalry, with the Championship side already having beaten higher league opposition in Arsenal in the third round of the competition.
The Foxes were out to win the FA Cup again after doing so last year for the first time in their history, beating Chelsea at Wembley thanks to a Youri Tielemans strike.
However, there will be no repeat of that for the Premier League side, as they bowed out in a 4-1 loss to their rivals in a thrashing on Sunday.
Paratici may be impressed with what he saw in the game, with football.london ’s Tottenham Hotspur reporter Alasdair Gold reporting that the director was set to be in attendance to watch Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson.
Spence, 21, has been linked with a move to Spurs and Arsenal, with the youngster impressing in his loan spell at the City Ground from parent club Middlesbrough.
Reports claim that £12million could be enough for the Championship side to let the full-back leave the club, with the suggestion that he could play Premier League football regularly in the future.
His outings against both Arsenal and Leicester will have done that judgement no harm and he found his way onto the scoresheet against the Foxes in the 61st minute to add a fourth for Forest.
Johnson is also a player who is garnering attention this season and was heavily linked with an £18million move to Premier League side Brentford in both the summer and January.
However, the move didn’t come about which may lead to Spurs landing him in the future.
The 20-year-old has been a standout player for Steve Cooper this season, impressing upon his return to the East Midlands since his loan move at Lincoln City last season.
The winger was also on the scoresheet, scoring the second goal of the game in the 24th minute.
The pair have impressed twice against Premier League players, perhaps showing their ability to take the step up to the top division next season.
Whether Spurs make a move is yet to be seen, though there will certainly be demand for the pair after the season they have had so far.
