Tottenham are about to make their fifth signing of the summer with Clement Lenglet joining on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona. The centre-back brings a wealth of experience to the Lilywhites after playing on the international stage for France and also in the Champions League for Barcelona.
Lenglet will now give Antonio Conte the cover he has been desperate for on the left of his back three, with the 27-year-old also capable of playing in the middle. Lenglet now joins Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison as the club's summer arrivals after Fabio Paratici moved quickly to bring the quintet to N17 ahead of the club's pre-season tour of South Korea.
Usually later movers in the transfer market, Spurs have made a real statement of intent so far this summer and they are not done just yet as they look to build a squad capable of competing for major honours next season. So what are Paratici's next priorities in the transfer market?

Get Spence deal over the line
A transfer for Middlesbrough right wing-back Djed Spence has dragged on for quite some time now with no agreement in place just yet. A player Paratici wants to bring to the club after a stunning season on loan with Nottingham Forest, the youngster has all the qualities to be a real hit in Conte's Spurs system.
Middlesbrough have a price they want to receive for the player and it is now down to the two clubs to come to an agreement. That is proving to be rather tricky and one of the clubs is going to have to compromise if a move is to be finalised.
In an ideal world that will happen sooner rather than later so that Spence can get a decent amount of time on the training pitch with Conte and the Spurs team at Hotspur Way. There's still plenty of time to conclude a transfer but it's one that really needs to be put to bed for both clubs so they can prepare for the new campaign.
Move players on
Things have been rather slow on the transfer front in terms of players heading out of the door at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer. Seeing Cameron Carter-Vickers join Celtic on a permanent deal last month, Steven Bergwijn's move to Ajax was finally confirmed on Friday morning.
Despite his struggles in N17 with a lack of first-team football coming his way, Spurs have not made a loss on the £27million they paid PSV for his services in January 2020 and will instead recoup it in full. There's plenty more for Paratici to do when it comes to outgoings and things should start to speed up now we are one month away from the new season getting underway.
Tanguy Ndombele ideally needs to be moved on permanently, although that will perhaps be easier said than done due to his underwhelming loan spell back at Lyon. Giovani Lo Celso will have options, however, after wowing at Villarreal but it's about Spurs getting the right money for him rather than selling him for a cut-price fee just to move him on.
Harry Winks, Sergio Reguilon, Emerson Royal, Joe Rodon and Jack Clarke are other members of the squad who could depart permanently, while Bryan Gil and Pape Matar Sarr could be in line for loan moves once again if Conte believes they are not ready to be part of his plans.
As important as incomings are for Tottenham, players also really need to be sold so they are not left with a bloated squad. Funds raised from potential exits can then be put towards other new signings if Paratici wants to bring in a few more fresh faces ahead of the deadline.
