Fabio Paratici's next priority signing for Antonio Conte at Tottenham after £100m transfer boost

The transfer window continues, and so do all the players linked with moves to N17. Tottenham have already given Antonio Conte three new additions to his squad, but the Italian wants at least six new arrivals this summer.

Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma all bring strong individual qualities to a Spurs side that will be looking to build on some of their success from last season. The Lilywhites' fourth-place finish means they will return to the Champions League next season.

This boosts current players, who all want to be playing in the top European competition and makes Tottenham more attractive for potential new arrivals. Tottenham received a £150million investment from ENIC, which football.london reported last month, and it was believed the bulk would be used on new transfers.

On Saturday, football.london revealed that Spurs have drawn down £100million of the £150million to put towards the transfer window. This is a major boost as it shows the club's ambition and reiterates their likelihood of Conte getting the players he wants.

There have been players linked with moves to the capital from clubs across the world who could slot in, in various roles. football.london takes a look at four players who have been linked and who Paratici's next priority should be.

Djed Spence

Spence is one of the youngsters who has been linked with a move to N17 this summer, after a successful loan spell at Nottingham Forest, from Middlesbrough. The 21-year-old played a key part in Forest's promotion to the Premier League, and it now seems that he wants to move to a club where he can play in the top flight.

The defender made 39 league appearances for Steve Cooper's side last season, scoring two goals and registering five assists, either as a right-back or right-midfielder. This versatility would suggest he could be a perfect fit as a wing-back for Conte.

Nothing has yet progressed between Spence and Tottenham, but Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder indicated that his player does want to join Spurs "We're expecting that deal to happen, but if it doesn't, then he's our player," Wilder admitted.

"But there's always three parties involved in any deal, and it's got to be right for all three parties for it to happen. It's got to be right for the player, and obviously, from the noises, it sounds as though [Spurs] is where he wants to go. Tottenham want him, and we're prepared for that, but it's got to be right for us too. It all needs to marry up."

Therefore there is still some way to go to get the deal secured, but the most recent comments seem to confirm the interest and the talks that could follow.

Clement Lenglet

Another position that Conte needs more options in, is at left centre-back. Ben Davies occupied the role last season and did a solid job, but with the busy fixture schedule next season, the Italian needs more options.

football.london understands that the Lilywhites tried to sign Lenglet on loan last summer, but the 27-year-old didn't want to leave Barcelona at that point. However, the financial problems at the Spanish club are likely to mean exits this summer and Paratici is expected to explore the defender as an option this summer.

Last season, the left-footer featured in La Liga, the Champions League and the Europa League. However, Lenglet could come at a cost, with his current value being up to £25.8million, according to CIES.

Reports suggest that the defender could make the loan move to Spurs this summer, suggesting that the north London club could pay a portion of Lenglet's wages to facilitate the temporary move. Reports also suggest that the 27-year-old could hold talks with Conte in the coming days to help him decide his future.

Lucas Paqueta

Paqueta is a player who Tottenham have been linked to this summer and hold interest in. The 24-year-old made 35 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon last season, scoring nine goals and registering six assists.

Last year the Frenchman's former boss, Rudi Garcia, praised Paqueta for what he brings to a team. "He helps his teammates and has a great team spirit. This aspect is his great strength," Garcia admitted.

"Lucas scores and doesn't forget to play for himself either. He's ready in the box and has an excellent shot from outside. There are very few like him."

football.london understands that Spurs haven't yet followed up their interest in Christian Eriksen for a move this summer, and Paqueta could be a solid alternative. The midfielder is versatile and played in various midfield and attacking positions last season.

This would be a boost for Conte, who could do with some more attacking-minded players in the middle to add to the strong quartet he already has available. The French international could come at a cost, with his current value sitting at up to £60.3million, so it would have to be a carefully considered deal.

Richarlison

Another player heavily linked with a move to the capital but would also come at a price is Richarlison. Paratici is an admirer of the Brazilian, who scored ten goals and registered five assists in his 30 Premier League appearances last season.

There has been a lot of talk over moves for Richarlison and fellow Brazilian Raphinha. However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed on Saturday that the 25-year-old would be open to a move to N17, and he seems to be the more likely target currently.

There is potential for a swap deal to be involved for Richarlison, with Harry Winks looking set to leave Tottenham this summer. Everton have been heavily linked with the England international, but it isn't yet known whether the two would be involved in separate deals or as a swap.

Like Paqueta, Richarlison can play various roles, allowing Conte to make rotations to his front three and have someone to be Harry Kane's backup, which Tottenham need.

So plenty of players are linked and could bring different benefits to Conte's squad, but who should be Paratici's next priority?

Spence is a young player with bags of potential, and his quality was shown last season. With Perisic's arrival on the left-hand side, it could make sense to secure a deal for the 21-year-old on the right before moving further up the field with other signings.

However, I would say, with no current outgoings, that Richarlison should be Tottenham's priority. If he is a player that Spurs want to sign and Conte believes could be an asset to the squad, I think the Brazilian should become the focus.

Although the Lilywhites' attacking trio were a danger to many Premier League sides, there is a need for rotation and depth next season, which Richarlison could bring. With Steven Bergwijn likely to leave, it means attacking options are thin, and the 25-year-old is likely to be snapped up by another club if Tottenham doesn't act soon.

We are only a couple of weeks into the summer transfer window, and Spurs have made a good start, but they will want to try and get more deals over the line before the tough pre-season that is to come.
