RB Leipzig are continuing to push for a loan move for Fabio Carvalho after being rejected by Liverpool in their efforts to make it a permanent deal.
Carvalho is the subject of strong interest across the Premier League after it became clear the Reds were happy to listen to loan proposals for the attacking midfielder.
But despite a string of enquiries from England, it is thought that Bundesliga outfit Leipzig have been the most proactive in their efforts to sign Carvalho and had a bid rebuffed earlier this month.
Negotiations remain ongoing and the ECHO understands there has been no agreement as of Friday morning between the clubs as Liverpool carefully weigh up the next move for Carvalho, whose own personal wishes will be strongly factored into the equation.

Carvalho, who joined from Fulham last summer in a deal worth a potential £7m, started just one game after Christmas - against Wolves in the FA Cup in early January - and was restricted to one substitute appearance in the final two months of the campaign.
As a result, it has become clear that a move away from Anfield would be Carvalho's best opportunities for more game time with Liverpool focusing their summer efforts on restructuring a midfield department that can now count Alexis Mac Allister among its members.
The Reds have no intention of losing Carvalho on a permanent deal, however, with his long-term future still viewed as being at Anfield by those inside the club. Anfield officials are sympathetic towards the 20-year-old's desire to play more, however.
Matt Newberry, who is Liverpool's head of academy recruitment, has stepped into the temporary role of loan and pathways manager this summer following the departure of David Woodfine at the end of the season.
Liverpool moved quickly to secure Carvalho's signature after missing out on striking a permanent deal on transfer deadline day in January 2022. The young midfielder was also wanted by the likes of Porto and Borussia Dortmund but the Reds reached an agreement with Fulham as the player entered the final few months of his contract at Craven Cottage.
