Fulham have asked about taking Neco Williams on loan - as Liverpool race to complete a deadline-beating move for Fabio Carvalho.
Talks are ongoing between the Reds and Fulham over 19-year-old winger Carvalho, who will be out of contract at the end of the season.
Liverpool want to sign the player now and loan him back to the Championship leaders for the remainder of the campaign.

The Reds have offered in the region of £5million for the England under-18 international - who has seven goals in 19 appearances this term - with Fulham understood to be holding out for a fee around double that amount.
However, discussions have also led to Fulham asking about Liverpool right-back Williams.
The 20-year-old Wales international had been the subject of interest from a number of clubs - including at least one in the Premier League.
But earlier today it appeared he had decided to stay and fight for his place at Anfield despite making just one top-flight appearance this season.
Williams, though, could now be tempted by a switch to Craven Cottage as he looks for greater game time to ensure his place in the Wales squad for their World Cup qualifying play-off in March.
The transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
