Fabinho's wife Rebeca Tavares proudly watches on as midfielder seals Liverpool FC win

Rebeca Tavares was gushing as Fabinho scored a penalty to seal Liverpool FC's 2-0 victory over Watford.

The midfielder started today's clash at Anfield from the bench after returning from a successful international break with Brazil. The Reds were aiming to move to the top of the table with 3 points in Saturday's lunchtime kick off.

Liverpool surged into the lead when Diogo Jota headed home Joe Gomez's superb cross for his 14th Premier League goal of the season. However, the Reds struggled to build on their lead and the game descended into a nervy affair as the visitors worked some decent opportunities on the counter.

Jurgen Klopp called upon the defensive midfielder off the bench in the 62nd minute as he replaced Curtis Jones. Fabinho put in an impressive performance as he helped the Reds regain control of the centre of the pitch.

Liverpool were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute as VAR spotted Jota had been fouled in the box. The Reds first choice penalty taker, Mohammed Salah, had been substituted, which meant Fabinho stepped up from 12 yards.

The 28-year-old sent Anfield into raptures as he confidently struck the spot kick into the back of the net as the Reds temporarily ascended to the top of the table. Fabinho's wife, Rebeca, was watching today's encounter from the Main Stand.

Rebeca also posted snaps of her husband's penalty kick from the official Liverpool FC accounts and shared a post from a fan account praising the reliable midfielder. It said: "You can always count on him."
