Fabinho's wife has aimed a brutal dig at the cause of Manchester City's success as she enjoyed Liverpool's trophy parade on Sunday.
The Reds were celebrating their Carabao Cup and FA Cup wins in front of thousands of supporters, just a day after losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid. The streets were packed with Liverpool fans as the bus carrying Jurgen Klopp's squad made its way along the route.
Many rival fans had poked fun at Liverpool holding a parade despite missing out on the Premier League and European Cup in successive weeks. Fabinho played all 90 minutes at the Stade de France in the defeat to Los Blancos and featured in the entirety of the Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea.
And his wife Rebeca Tavares took the opportunity to fire a brutal dig at City amid the celebrations on Merseyside. Posting several pictures of the parade on Twitter, Tavares took aim at Liverpool's title rivals.
“We are Liverpool, this means more! See you next season, red family. Thank you for your support. ‘There are just some things oil can’t buy',” Tavares wrote in a dig at City's Abu Dhabi ownership.
The comment prompted a wave of anger from City fans, but Tavares insisted that she was left non-pulsed by any hate. She wrote a follow-up tweet which read: "My hobby right now it’s read haters comments in my tweets THE TRUTH HURTS!!!!"

Fabinho played 48 games this season to help Liverpool to add two trophies to their cabinet. But they have missed out on the two trophies they arguably wanted to win most, with City pipping them to the league and Madrid holding them off in the Champions League.
But boss Klopp insisted that despite the disappointment in the Reds dressing room, his team had enjoyed a successful season. And the German also made the bold claim that his side will reach the final once again next campaign.
"The mood in dressing room, nobody feels it was a great season right now. But it was. We played a good game, not perfect, but that would have not been possible against this deep formation - they were tricky," the Liverpool boss told BT Sport.
"The boys tried everything, especially after we were 1-0 down. Then we played how we wanted to, against the deep formation, ours were too deep and we could have caused more problems. But their threat on the counter.
"We wanted to be more brave in the second-half. We played around them, and we should have played within the formation but we played around them. It feels different right now, it’s not bad to get to the final. It’s kind of success, but not the one we want to have.
"I have a strong feeling we will come again. That’s how it is. The boys are competitive, we have an outstanding group and we will have that next year and will go again. Where is the final next year? Istanbul? Book the hotel."
