Fabian Ruiz price revealed as Napoli make transfer decision to hand Arsenal dream midfield deal

Napoli are reportedly ready to sell Fabian Ruiz for around €30million (£25.7million). Arsenal have long been linked with a move for the Spaniard.

The Gunners are looking to sign a central midfielder this summer, football.london understands, and the likes of Youri Tielemans and Ruben Neves have both been touted with a move to join Mikel Arteta's men in recent times. Another name that has been mooted as a potential target is Spanish international Ruiz, who has established himself as one of Serie A's best midfielders in the last few years.

Il Mattino via GIFN, reported last month that Ruiz rejected Napoli's latest contract offer for Ruiz. The player has just over 12 months left on his current deal with Luciano Spalletti's side, which could potentially mean a summer exit makes the most sense for the Partenopei.

As reported by Matteo Moretto on Twitter, Napoli will look to sell Ruiz this summer: "Fabian Ruiz has a contract that ends in 2023 and the priority of the parties is to find a sale this summer. The project must be adequate, otherwise it could stay another year. Today Naples asks [for] 30 million [euros]."

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be interested in the 25-year-old and the player has previously admitted a return to La Liga could be attractive. "It’s flattering to hear about these clubs' interest in me, that's for sure," he said earlier this year when asked about reported interest from the two La Liga sides.

"Right now, I only think of Napoli, I am very comfortable here and we have big challenges ahead. The idea of returning to Spain in the future is always present: it is my home."

Whether he moves to his homeland or the Premier League remains to be seen, but he'll certainly be an asset at his new club.
