The Football Association are looking into the touchline confrontation between Liverpool and Newcastle United during the controversial finale to their Premier League clash at Anfield.
Fabio Carvalho's 98th-minute strike earned the Reds a 2-1 win on Wednesday night and prompted a clash between the two benches as the home side celebrated the dramatic winner.
With members of both contingents spilling on to the pitch, a member of the Newcastle coaching staff was spotted on camera launching an object that appeared to be a water bottle towards the Liverpool bench, narrowly missing a steward.

And the FA are understood to be aware of the incident and will be looking into the matter as well as other factors in the build-up to the confrontation.
Newcastle were incensed the full-time whistle hadn't already been blown with five additional minutes having initially been indicated, only for referee Andre Marriner to play another three minutes after visiting goalkeeper Nick Pope required treatment during the stoppage period and Newcastle guilty of further timewasting.
Emotions had been running high on the touchline throughout the game, with Newcastle assistant head coach Jason Tindall a chief protagonist by regularly straying from the technical area and berating the officials and the opposing bench.
And they boiled over after Carvalho's goal, with a number of flashpoints including Newcastle substitute Fabin Schar having to be restrained as Liverpool head of fitness and conditioning Andreas Kornmayer motioned for the visitors to return to their technical area.
