Former Liverpool player Andre Wisdom is trying to impress League One Portsmouth on trial.
The 29-year-old left Anfield in 2017 after progressing through the club's Academy and making 22 appearances for the Reds, scoring one goal.
After leaving the Reds, the versatile defender joined Derby County - with whom had had previously enjoyed a loan spell - and went onto make 107 appearances for the Rams. But with County in financial disarray, his contract was not renewed at the end of the 2020/21 season and he has been without a club since.

Now he is looking to get his career back on track with Pompey and has already made his first appearances for the club in preseason friendlies against Havant & Waterlooville - which they won 3-0 - and a 1-0 loss to Gosport Borough.
Speaking to Portsmouth News, Fratton Park manager Danny Cowley said: "We’re trying to bring in a player who can play right of a back three and maybe at right-back as well, in order to give us the balance in the squad we would like. He’s been excellent in both games. He was great for the young players with his experience and leadership.
“If you ask Haji (Mnoga) and Liam Vincent who played either side of him, and Jay (Mingi) who played in front of him, they’d say what a massive help he was and he can be a massive help to their development. He can be good for us. He had a tough year last year, hence why he’s available for us to have a look at. We know what a good player he is, it was more to see where he was physically and in terms of his fitness. He’s had two very good 45 minutes for us.”
Wisdom was sent out on several loan spells before the end of his time at Liverpool including a first stint at Pride Park and also to Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, with whom he won the Austrian league title.
