FA Cup semi final draw confirmed as Liverpool face Man City

Liverpool have been paired against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Reds beat Forest to book their place in the semis and at least one guaranteed Wembley showdown. In the other half of the draw, Chelsea were drawn with Crystal Palace.

The semi-finals take place in the capital on the weekend of April 16 (Saturday) or April 17 (Sunday). Liverpool are currently set to play Aston Villa at home on that Saturday at 5.30pm. That Premier League clash will be postponed after Jurgen Klopp's men beat Forest tonight.

Liverpool could face a very busy run-in to the season, with midweek games in virtually every available slot.

And April is already shaping up to be a crucial month. After a home clash with Watford to kick if off, the Reds then take on Benfica over two legs in the Champions League either side of a trip to the Etihad to meet City.

In the middle of the month comes an FA Cup semi-final. Following that will be a home game against Manchester United, before the Anfield derby versus Everton.
