Vincent Kompany will return to Manchester City with Burnley while Manchester United host Fulham in the standout games of the FA Cup quarter-final draw.
In the other two clashes, League Two Grimsby - who stunned Southampton on Wednesday night - travel to Brighton and Sheffield United, victors over Premier League side Tottenham, will host Blackburn.
Draw in full:
Man City vs Burnley
Man Utd vs Fulham
Brighton vs Grimsby
Sheffield Utd vs Blackburn
Perhaps the standout clash is between promotion-chasing Kompany and City, where the former defender will return to familiar surroundings.
City boss Pep Guardiola was full of praise for his players after their victory at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night, with the Catalan seeking to win what would be his second FA Cup with the club.
"It was really tough. Bristol showed us how good they can be. I was impressed by some players, I didn't know them. The second half was much better," he said. "Incredible fans at Bristol. We came here five years ago in the Carabao Cup and it was amazing. I remember it perfectly."
Brighton and Fulham have both made the last eight during what have been hugely impressive seasons, with both sides also looking comfortable in the top half of the Premier League, but they will now face hugely different quarter-final tests in Grimsby and Manchester United respectively.
Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi was full of praise for his side after they beat Championship outfit Stoke 1-0 courtesy of an Evan Ferguson strike, but he stopped short of saying that the FA Cup has become his side's new priority this season.
“I can promise nothing but I can promise every day we work hard to make them (the fans) happy and proud of their team, their club – only this,” he said.
“I understand they want to win the trophy, and we also want to win, but to win, we need to work, to improve and to believe. But for the moment we have to think only of West Ham (Saturday's Premier League opponents), because we have the possibility to arrive in Europe.”
Fulham's Marco Silva was also aiming high after his side saw off Leeds United 2-0 at Craven Cottage.
“Firstly, it was our aim (to go through) and I said, and I keep saying from the first day of this competition, that we have high demands and our ambition is really high in this competition,” he said.
“We are humble enough to understand that we are not favourites at all – the favourites are different teams than us but we want to chase the competition and challenge all the opposition sides."
Championship side Blackburn Rovers caused the shock of Tuesday night's matches when they won 2-0 away at 2021 FA Cup winners Leicester.
“It’s great for the club, the players who have wrote a new chapter in our great history," said boss Jon Dahl Tomasson.
“It’s been a few years since Rovers have been so far, so the players can be really proud.
“It was great to hear our fans singing at the end of the game. We won the game on the pitch and the fans won it in the stands as well.”
